I'm extremely pleased to announce I will be speaking at this year's New York Jewish Book Festival at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, to be held on November 16, 2025. I will be participating in a panel entitled "Reckoning with the Holocaust Through Fiction." Three other authors will be joining me on the panel, which will take place at 2 pm and run for an hour. UPDATE: 7/24/2025: Wonderful news! The Jewish Standard, which covered the original 2017 release of An Epiphany in Lilacs, has covered the re-release/third edition of the book with a beautifully written story. Featuring a lot of great family photos, background info on my father's experiences, the article details why I felt now was the right time to republish this novel. Special kudos to writer/editor Joanne Palmer for her eloquence and sensitivity in writing this piece. I'm going to put it up in the press section. It's in the July 24, 2025 print edition. UPDATE: 11/17/2025: Yesterday's event at the New York Jewish Book Festival at the Museum of Jewish Heritage went very well. The turnout for the panel discussion I was on--"Reckoning with the Holocaust Through Fiction" was fantastic! Thank you to my fellow authors Talia Carner and Sharon Kurtzman for their eloquent and thoughtful contributions to the panel and for our moderator Laurie Gwen Shapiro for her wonderful, incisive questions.
